Position Highlights

Manage all
aspects of instructional design / training program
o
Lead team of
instructional designers, technical writers, business analysts, and
applications trainers
o
Provide
instructional design and training services for 140 applications including:
§ Commercial / Government Off The Shelf applications (COTS
& GOTS)
§ Web-based custom developed applications (.NET, JAVA,
ColdFusion, etc.)
o
Create and
train custom in-house processes along with industry standards including SDLC,
ITIL, PMP
o
Conduct
one-on-one training with all VIP clients (Branch & Division Chiefs,
Directors, Senior Executive Service [SES] clients)

Provide
oversight and mentorship for outside application vendors
§ Act as subject matter expert (SME) for client’s
internal network, users, training expectations, etc.

§ Oversee and validate the quality of instructional

§ Assist the client in identifying and evaluating areas for
improvement with training initiatives
§ Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the
applications and user base, providing recommendations for training or
instructional design improvements
§ Facilitate the planning and coordination of stakeholder
meetings to identify subject matter experts that will be included in the
instructional design process
§ Communicate frequently with client and application owners
to ensure goals and objectives are being met by the instructional design
projects
§ Develop rapport and strong professional relationships with
clients to earn trust and build confidence assuring the highest level of
customer satisfaction
§ Provide desk-side support for all VIP clients in a
leadership position

Collaborate
with application developers and administrators to fine tune instructional
programs
§ Report bugs or issues that arise during training courses
§ Assist and mentor application testing team to ensure all
functional areas of an application are understood and fully tested
§ Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) by
providing instruction to the UAT group
§ Partner with project managers to ensure milestone are met
issues are reported and risks are mitigated
§ Coordinate with engineers to ensure test system is
operational for training

Manage
multiple instructional design / training projects simultaneously with end
user training from 3 - 3000 users
§ Practice continuous process improvement (CPI) to ensure
instructional design systems function at the highest level possible and
include new innovations
§ Hold peer review sessions before finalizing designs and
materials

agents on all supported applications
§ Assign tasks to team members using BMC Remedy Service Desk
ticketing system
§ Mentor team members on requirements gathering, business
processes, technical writing, instructional design and training tasks
§ Provide weekly reports to the client on instructional
design / training projects and progress
§ Schedule courses and training rooms, enroll users into
